I’ve been an EFL teacher  for the past 25 years in Portugal – I have lived in Belgium and Brazil too- a mum of two and a very busy person who still finds time to attend MOOCs.

I am currently National and International Project Coordinator in my school being responsible for several eTwinning projects and KA2 Erasmus+. Frequent attendant of teacher training courses and seminars in Oxford, UK, as well as webinars and e-conferences in which I participate both as an attendee as well as speaker, I am also also a teacher trainer in Portugal. For the past 3 years I have been a regular presenter at APPI (TESOL Portugal). I’m an avid user of web 2.0 tools in class and promote Project Based Learning (PBL) with my students as a way to enhance 21st century skills.

I teach K12 students and my aim is to improve and innovate that’s why, after a course in Oxford in July 2012, I decided I should build my PLN. I haven’t stopped ever since. I must confess it is time consuming but it brings me enthusiasm and motivation to keep on teaching after nearly twenty years. All this process of connecting with people, visiting their sites, learning new techniques has enrichened me both professionally and personally and made me a much more capable  techie…  I’m proud to have done it by myself although I got the help of  hundreds of people from all over the world  whom I have never met! It is so rewarding.

This school year, 2017-18, I started a new Project as Director of Studies of a Language School  – which  I also own – and where you can learn not only English but German, French, Mandarin, Spanish and Italian as well. Languages are my life!
